For one of our customers we build a Portal used as a Company Management System. It is a management system for internal documents needed at several indoor as outdoor locations. This Portal is a very good example of creating a design for customers. Together with a designer it only took 5 days manhour to accomplish this. It involves changing styles, adding new styles and adding new images. Some changes in custom WebParts was needed.

When a visitor logs into the intranet the main page containing a diagram is shown. Through this diagram he is able to go deeper into the portal. Documents are divided into four categories all indicated with another description, images and color.

When the visitor has selected a process from the diagram he will see a number of elements in which the process is divided. The customer can add new elements, remove them or change them with separate WebParts which are only available for the content administrator.

Inside an element there is a description and links to documents. All documents are placed in a document library at the root of the Portal. This is divided into categories. The customer is able to link per element one or more documents. The view shows documents per category. In this way the documents are placed at only one location if a document belongs to more then one element.
